Welcome to doghouseOne

The doghouse is a small workshop in my backyard overlooking my garden here in Goleta, CA. I spend a lot of time in the doghouse, since I retired (again) from 40 years of working in clinical laboratories. My degree in 1974 was in microbiology from San Francisco State, but I have always had an interest in electronics, computers and robotics. I like to tackle obscure projects in creative ways.

I have worked on many projects in the past, most were not documented in any way. This blog is an experiment in documentation. I have found that I do better work when I document it. Perhaps a searcher will find their way to this blog and find some crumb of information for which they were looking. I hope so. Use any info you find here, any way you want. Please read the disclaimer.

Disclaimer:

I am not a professional programmer or an engineer. Anything that you learn here that destroys something, is your own problem. I use VB6 for programming because it allows me to be creative in a non-structured kind of way. You may know better ways of doing what I have done; Good for you! My purpose here is not to build the super-highway; it is to do some trail blazing for those wanting to find their way through the wilderness. Good luck to all who attempt to use this information.
